tournament, we regret to inform you that the tournament has
been delayed. The FINAL deadline for team registration
has been extended till January 1st 2004 and for and fees payments have been extended till January 10th 2004. We encourage all Muslims to take part in this competition.

We are pleased to announce the formation of The Muslim Basketball Association (MBA). Since sports events are among the best ways to attract and entertain youth. MBA was founded to attract Muslim youth to build and strengthen a sense of community and brotherhood amongst them, while promoting teamwork, communication and co-operation in a fun and Islamic environment.

MBA, Insha-Allah will organize a league ever year, that will be run in a professional manner and all participants are expected to adhere to Islamic Etiquette and MBA league playing rules. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: The best of you is he who possesses the best character.

The league will provide professional referees and reporters from the community will cover the league activities. In addition, Insha-Allah Muslim players from the NBA will participate in the final games.

There will be One League for Men age 16+, and more to come in near future for our sisters and youth different ages. The league will run from Febuary 15th Insha-Allah, concluding with playoffs and championship game, a total of 17 weeks. All games will be played once a week (Saturday); each team will play one game a week. There will be 12 Teams divided into two divisions Mecca & Madina 6 teams in each division

This cannot be possible without the support of the community after the help of Allah (SWT). Therefore in order to keep our registration fees affordable, and to provide our youth the best program possible, we depend on the support of our team sponsors.

For a small annual fee you can sponsor a team. There are different sponsorship options, which include assigning you your very own team, a banner featuring your company name and logo. The banner (which the league will provide) will be displayed at all your team's home and away games. Also the shirts of the team you sponsor will display your business logo or name and we will list your company name and information on our sponsor's page of MBA website for a period of one year.
